For the second time in two weeks, Tennessee State guard was named the Ohio Valley Conference player of the Week.
The senior helped lead TSU to a 3-0 week, averaging 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and a jaw-dropping 5.0 steals.
Against UNC Asheville, Nkrumah dropped 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and a school-record 9 steals. He chased that with a 16-point, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists performance in the Tigers’ 98-77 win over Tennessee Wesleyan. Nkrumah capped the week with 17 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds in TSU’s 70-64 win over Chattanooga in the championship game of the Coke Classic.
Nkrumah leads the OVC with 3.4 steals per contest and ranks 5th in Division I.
